Manufacturer-documented model guide
EcoFlow DELTA 3
The base DELTA 3 is a 1,024 Wh, 1,800 W portable station for selected 120 V essentials. Start with the exact model: DELTA 3, DELTA 3 Plus, and other variants do not share every charging specification.

Quick answer
Start with your household’s power needs
Identify each appliance’s running watts, startup demand, voltage and operating time. Compare those needs with documented output and capacity, allowing for conversion losses and changing conditions. Rated capacity does not predict exact runtime.
Check planned loads in the backup-power selectorBuy the model, not just the family name
This guide covers the base DELTA 3 US model EF-DL-H10-3. EcoFlow also sells DELTA 3 Plus and other DELTA 3 variants. The exact-model manual documents a 500 W solar input limit for this unit. Do not carry a faster charging specification from another family member into your purchase decision. Check the listing, label, and included cables together.
Size the battery around a day of real use
Its nominal capacity is stored battery energy, not all the AC energy your appliances will receive. Measure or estimate daily watt-hours, set a reserve, and account for conversion loss. A refrigerator cycles, while a heater can draw heavily for long periods; a single appliance wattage does not capture both patterns. The linked battery-runtime calculator lets you make those assumptions explicit.
Check startup and transfer separately
The manufacturer lists 1,800 W continuous output and 3,600 W surge. A surge figure alone does not establish the duration a motor needs to start. X-Boost is a separate feature, not permission to treat its advertised wattage as ordinary output. The documented 10 ms standby UPS transfer also needs an equipment-specific check; it is not zero-interruption backup.
An existing DELTA 2 may still do the job
A newer generation does not automatically justify replacing a working station. DELTA 2 has the same nominal base capacity and continuous output in our catalog. DELTA 3 changes other details, including the documented transfer time. Compare the particular gap in your plan before upgrading. We do not link the old DELTA 2 Amazon listing because it redirected to a different model during our link check.
Confirm expansion before budgeting for it
EcoFlow advertises compatible extra-battery options for the DELTA 3 family. Our record does not establish a single exact maximum configuration for this base-model purchase, so expanded capacity is left undocumented rather than used to satisfy a calculator requirement. Confirm the station, extra-battery model, cable, and supported combination directly with EcoFlow.

- Use the exact DELTA 3 (EF-DL-H10-3) manual; do not transfer specifications from DELTA 3 Plus or DELTA 3 Classic variants.
- The official product page mixes DELTA 3 and DELTA 3 Plus series details. Solar input is recorded from the exact-model manual, and maximum expanded Wh is left undocumented.
- A documented surge ceiling does not establish that a particular motor or compressor will start.
Before you buy
Confirm the exact configuration
- Match the product name, model suffix, voltage, and outlet configuration to the current US listing.
- Check appliance running watts and starting requirements in the appliance documentation.
- For expansion, verify the compatible battery model, included accessories, and separately sold items.
- For transfer or backup of a critical device, follow both manufacturers’ compatibility and safety instructions.
