This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar browser technologies Home Resilience Hub uses. Optional analytics does not load simply because you continue browsing. You can enable, decline, or later change optional analytics through Cookie preferences in the footer. Advertising choices are handled separately by Google’s Privacy & messaging controls.

Home Resilience Hub is operated by Pixelix Digital LLP. Home Resilience Hub is the consumer-facing publication; Pixelix Digital LLP is its legal operator.

Essential cookies

The site uses two first-party cookies to remember your choice:

cookie-consent records whether you enabled, declined, or customized optional analytics.
cookie-preferences records the optional analytics choice.

These preference cookies last for up to one year unless you clear them or choose again. Our hosting and security providers may also use strictly necessary request or security data to deliver and protect the site.

The calculators do not require cookies. The values you enter are processed in your browser. A share link may include selected planning values in its URL because you chose to create that link.

The My Household Plan, worksheet drafts, persistent checklists, and some interface preferences can use your browser’s local storage. This lets entries, progress, and saved calculator summaries remain on the same browser without an account. Local storage does not automatically expire after one year, is not synchronized to another device, and can be removed with the relevant clear control or by deleting browser site data.

This storage supports functionality you request and is separate from the site’s optional analytics and Google advertising choices. Do not treat it as a secure backup or store confidential information in it.

Optional analytics

If you allow analytics and the site has active measurement identifiers, Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager may load. They can measure page views and aggregate interactions such as opening a calculator or following a resource link. Our calculator analytics are designed to record the tool and action, not household input values.

Before an analytics choice, the site sets Google’s analytics-storage consent signal to denied and does not load optional Google measurement scripts. The site does not set or override Google AdSense advertising-consent signals; Google Privacy & messaging owns those regional choices.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

Cloudflare Web Analytics provides a separate aggregate performance baseline for the site. Cloudflare documents that its Vitals Explorer surface does not use cookies or local storage and does not fingerprint visitors. The Cloudflare edge beacon may load before an optional Google choice; it is not the Google Analytics or Tag Manager path, and it does not receive calculator inputs, share state, or household-plan contents. Newsletter forms are provided by Kit. The Kit script does not load on a normal page view. It loads only after you select Open newsletter sign-up. If you then submit the form, Kit receives the information you provide under its own privacy terms.

Contact form

The contact form is delivered through Formspree only when you submit it. Formspree receives the name, email address, inquiry type, and message you choose to send. The form does not require optional analytics consent.

Advertising

Home Resilience Hub uses Google AdSense for clearly labelled, responsive display advertisements in selected editorial articles. Google and its advertising technology partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure, limit the frequency of, and—where permitted by law and your choices—personalize advertising based on visits to this site or other sites. The AdSense and Google Privacy & messaging tag may load on ordinary site pages to show the applicable regional message and honor advertising choices. The site does not place manual ad units in calculators, worksheets, the household plan, newsletter, or policy pages.

Google Privacy & messaging presents advertising choices where required. In the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the message provides consent, decline, and management choices. In applicable US states, it provides a Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information control. Use Privacy settings to reopen Google’s advertising privacy controls. The site’s Cookie preferences control optional analytics only and do not replace Google’s advertising controls. You can also use Google’s My Ad Center or, where available, the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out tool to manage personalized advertising.

Managing your choice

Use Cookie preferences in the footer to change the site’s optional analytics choice, and use Privacy settings to reopen Google’s advertising controls. You can also delete site data through your browser settings. Declining optional analytics does not block articles, navigation, search, or calculators; the separate Cloudflare performance beacon is not controlled by this preference.

Browser controls can also block or delete cookies. The exact steps depend on your browser and device.
