This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar browser technologies Home Resilience Hub uses. Optional services do not load simply because you continue browsing. You can accept, reject, or customize them in the consent banner and change that choice later with the Cookie preferences button in the footer.

Essential cookies

The site uses two first-party cookies to remember your choice:

cookie-consent records whether you accepted, rejected, or customized optional services.
cookie-preferences records whether analytics and advertising services may load.

These preference cookies last for up to one year unless you clear them or choose again. Our hosting and security providers may also use strictly necessary request or security data to deliver and protect the site.

The calculators do not require cookies. The values you enter are processed in your browser. A share link may include selected planning values in its URL because you chose to create that link.

The My Household Plan, persistent checklists, and some interface preferences can use your browser’s local storage. This lets progress and saved calculator summaries remain on the same browser without an account. Local storage does not automatically expire after one year, is not synchronized to another device, and can be removed by clearing the plan or browser site data.

This functional storage does not require optional analytics or advertising consent. Do not treat it as a secure backup or store confidential information in it.

Optional analytics

If you allow analytics and the site has active measurement identifiers, Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager may load. They can measure page views and aggregate interactions such as opening a calculator or following a resource link. Our calculator analytics are designed to record the tool and action, not household input values.

Before consent, the site sets Google’s consent signals for analytics and advertising storage to denied and does not load the optional Google measurement scripts.

Newsletter forms are provided by Kit. The Kit script does not load on a normal page view. It loads only after you select Open newsletter sign-up. If you then submit the form, Kit receives the information you provide under its own privacy terms.

Contact form

The contact form is delivered through Formspree only when you submit it. Formspree receives the name, email address, inquiry type, and message you choose to send. The form does not require optional analytics consent.

Advertising

Home Resilience Hub does not currently have an active advertising seller record or Google AdSense publisher ID. The advertising option is unavailable while no advertising configuration exists. Advertising scripts will not load unless an approved publisher configuration is added and the required consent has been obtained.

We will update this policy and the Privacy Policy before enabling a new advertising or monetized tracking program.

Managing your choice

Use Cookie preferences in the footer to change or withdraw a choice. You can also delete site data through your browser settings. Rejecting optional services does not block articles, navigation, search, or calculators.

Browser controls can also block or delete cookies. The exact steps depend on your browser and device.
