How Home Resilience Hub handles contact, newsletter, analytics, and site-usage information.

Last updated September 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Home Resilience Hub handles, why it is used, which service providers receive information, and what choices you have. It describes the site as it operates today.

Home Resilience Hub is operated by Pixelix Digital LLP. Home Resilience Hub is the consumer-facing publication; Pixelix Digital LLP is its legal operator.

Information you choose to provide

Contact messages

If you submit the contact form, you may provide a name, email address, inquiry type, and message. The form is processed by Formspree so the editorial team can receive and respond to it. Do not include sensitive medical, financial, identity, or emergency information.

Newsletter sign-up

If you choose to load and submit the newsletter form, Kit receives the email address and any other information shown in that form. Kit handles subscription delivery, unsubscribe requests, and related email records under its own terms. The Kit form does not load until you select the button that opens it.

Information handled automatically

The web host and network providers process ordinary request information needed to deliver and secure the site. This can include an IP address, browser or device information, requested URL, timestamp, and security signals. Those providers determine their own security and operational retention practices.

If you allow analytics and the site has active Google measurement identifiers, Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager may process page and interaction data. Optional Google scripts do not load before the saved choice allows them. Calculator analytics are designed to record the tool and action, not the household values entered.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled as a separate, privacy-preserving performance baseline. Cloudflare describes this service as not using cookies or local storage for its Vitals Explorer surface and not fingerprinting visitors. Its edge beacon may load before an optional Google choice, but Home Resilience Hub does not send it calculator inputs, share state, household-plan contents, or free text. See Cloudflare Web Analytics for the provider’s current collection description.

The calculators otherwise run in your browser. When you choose to create a share link, the URL may contain the planning selections needed to recreate that result. Anyone who receives that link can read those values, so avoid sharing anything you consider sensitive.

Information stored in your browser

The My Household Plan, worksheet drafts, persistent checklists, and some interface preferences use local storage in your browser. Worksheet entries, saved checklist item identifiers, calculator summaries, displayed assumptions, and review dates can remain on that device until you clear the relevant draft or plan, or remove browser data. This storage is functional, stays in the browser under normal use, and does not require optional analytics consent. It is not an account, cloud backup, or secure record vault. Avoid putting names, diagnoses, account details, or other confidential information in a worksheet, especially on a shared device.

How information is used

We use information to:

  • deliver pages and protect the site;
  • respond to messages you submit;
  • deliver newsletters you request;
  • understand aggregate content and tool usage when analytics consent is present;
  • monitor aggregate page performance through the privacy-preserving Cloudflare Web Analytics baseline;
  • investigate errors, abuse, or security incidents; and
  • meet applicable legal obligations.

Home Resilience Hub does not run a commission-based product-link tracking program. It may display clearly labelled Google AdSense advertisements in selected editorial articles. Google and its advertising technology partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure, limit the frequency of, and—where permitted by law and your choices—personalize advertising based on visits to this site or other sites. Google may process device, browser, and page information for those purposes according to the choices and regional controls described below.

Current service-provider roles include:

  • the hosting and network providers that deliver and protect the site;
  • Formspree for contact-form delivery after you submit the form;
  • Kit for newsletter sign-up and delivery after you choose to load and submit its form;
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics for an aggregate, privacy-preserving performance baseline; and
  • Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager only when configured and allowed by your consent choice; and
  • Google AdSense and Google Privacy & messaging, including Google advertising technology partners identified in Google’s regional privacy controls, for advertising and the related choices.

Articles link to government, manufacturer, standards, utility, retailer, and other external sites. Once you follow an external link, that site’s privacy policy applies. A normal external link does not mean the third party sponsors or controls Home Resilience Hub.

Advertising and AdSense

Home Resilience Hub uses Google AdSense for clearly labelled, responsive display advertisements in selected informational articles. Advertising does not change our editorial standards or the availability of the site’s articles, calculators, worksheets, or household plan.

Google Privacy & messaging provides the advertising choices shown where required. In the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, visitors can consent, decline consent, or manage choices through Google’s message. In applicable US states, visitors can use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information control. You can reopen Google’s advertising privacy controls from Privacy settings. These choices are separate from the site’s optional analytics preference.

Google explains how it uses information from sites and apps that use its services in its partner-sites privacy notice. You can manage personalized advertising through Google’s My Ad Center or, where available, the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out tool.

Retention

We keep information we control only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose described, security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Formspree and Kit maintain the records they process under their own retention settings and policies; we do not promise a specific provider-retention period that the public site cannot verify. You can unsubscribe from newsletter email using the link in a message.

The site’s first-party analytics-preference cookies can remain for up to one year. Google Privacy & messaging manages advertising-choice signals under Google’s own settings and policies. Locally saved plans, worksheet drafts, and checklist progress can remain until you clear them on the site or remove browser data. You can change analytics through Cookie preferences, reopen advertising controls through Privacy settings, or remove site data through browser controls.

Turn off analytics for this browser

The separate browser opt-out below overrides an earlier Google analytics choice. It is useful for site owners, production testing, or anyone who does not want optional Google measurement to load on this browser. The privacy-preserving Cloudflare performance beacon is a separate edge service and is not controlled by this site-level opt-out. The setting lasts for up to one year unless you clear it.

Analytics opt-out

Turn off optional analytics for this browser even if an earlier cookie choice allowed it. This does not remove local household plans or checklist progress.

Your choices and requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection. The exact right and available exception depend on applicable law and our role in processing the information.

To make a request, use the contact page or email [email protected]. We may need to verify enough information to find and protect the relevant record. You can change optional analytics through Cookie preferences in the footer and reopen Google advertising controls through Privacy settings at any time.

Children

The site is written for adults planning for a household. We do not knowingly ask children to submit personal information. If you believe a child has sent personal information through the site, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to this site. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Avoid sending confidential or emergency information through the contact form.

Changes and contact

We will update the date above when this policy materially changes. Questions, requests, or concerns can be sent through the contact page or to [email protected].
